A few weeks ago, Mama & Daddy loaded me up in the car and we took a day trip to Grapevine!
As a surprise, they took me to LEGOLAND!
I built things.
Professor Brick-A-Brack took us on a tour of the factory.
We took a ride on Merlin's Quest.
We got to use a laser gun to shoot at stuff!
We rode it twice.
I think Mama enjoyed it as much as me.
We watched my very 1st 3-D movie.
It was Bob the Builder.
I don't get these silly sunglasses?
I built my own race car & got to race it down the track.
Daddy had just as much fun building a car as ME!
(Are you seeing a trend here?)
Mama & I rode this.
The harder you peddled, the higher in the air we went.
After LegoLand, we drove downtown to the train depot.
We gave our tickets to this gentleman...
and climbed aboard.
I found our seats. This is SO cool!
"Daddy WE ARE ON a TRAIN!"
Here's Mama. Cool hat, Mom.
Yep, she loves me.
It was getting close to naptime,
so I snuggled in while we waited on everyone to board.
But when the train blew it's whistle and took off, I got my 2nd wind.
After about 1 1/2 hours,
we pulled into this building called the Stockyards in Fort Worth!
When we got off the train, they had to turn the engine around.
Mama & I watched while they put that engine on a giant turntable and spun it around. COOL!
We did a little shopping.
These people are serious about their LONGHORNS!
We saw REAL cowboys!
It was one of the last dog days of Summer here in Texas,
so we headed on down
to a little ol place
that's set way back
in the streets of Fort Worth
called the LOVE SHACK, Baby!
Tin Roof, Rusted!
(sorry)
We had root beer floats and chocolate milkshakes.
We stopped in at the White Elephant Saloon for a quick photo.
It was really hot, so we found a shady spot,
I crawled up on Dad's shoulders
and we waited for...
the Cattle Drive.
Longhorns, cowboys.
After a quick trip to a candy store, we headed back to our train.
After a long train ride home,
we hopped back in our Chrysler,
(it's as big as a whale and it's about to set sail)
(sorry, again)
and headed back home.
Legos, Trains and Longhorns make me tired!
