Summer of Swimming!

This summer has been a HOT one. We are currently at 56 days above 100 degrees. We've broken a record here in North Texas. We've been trying to find ways to beat the heat around here.

I float on floaties and sip cold beverages.

Nana & Papa put up a kiddie pool. We've had a blast with this.

This is me swimming with my McD cousins from North Carolina.

Nana bought me some swim fins, a snorkle and a mask.

Mom signed me up for 'Swimming Lessons'.

I didn't know quite what to think. I hid behind this planter. They dragged me to the water.

My classmates and my Swim Teacher, Miss Ginger.

There was splashing in the kiddie pool.

and I was just fine with that.

But then, do you know what they did?

They threw my truck into deep water

and made me go get it!

Then they took turns making me swim back and forth to each other.

Miss Ginger & Miss Megan were pushy, but they did teach  me to swim.

And look at me now!

That's me, at my Aunt Leann's house. I'm standing on the very end of the slide and jumping out as far as I can to my Daddy! Ain't it COOL?

Mama says I nap really well after we swim.

I have no idea what she's talking about...
