After our trip to Grapevine & Ft. Worth,
I took a trip up to Oka-homa
to see my Great-Great Aunt JiJi
and my Great-Great Uncle Misser G.
The next day, we took a quick trip to Jenks to see the...
The Oka-homa Inquirium.
Hey, I didn't know Dory & Nemo lived HERE?!
This place is very hands-on. You could feed the turtles.
They put carrot strips on clothes pins and let you go.
Next, we bought some shrimp.
Nana threaded it onto this stick thingy.
Then we stuck it into the water.
Look at her face!
Why does she look like that, you ask?
'Cause we were feeding sting rays.
Remember the Crocodile Hunter?
Enough said.
Next up, we got to go to the 'Touch Tank'.
Turtles, starfish, coral, shrimp, horseshoe crabs
and
Sea Cucumbers.
"Mama, wook, I'm in a shark cage."
This shark jaw is HUGE!
We got to take our pictures and play a game where
WE got to feed the sharks in the shark tank.
Here's Mama.
Doesn't she look silly?
Here's ME!
I'm chopping up fish to feed the sharks.
Help MEeeeeeeeeee!
He's gonnna EAT MEeeeeee!
Later I got to climb up and walk by the fish.
This is a HUGE Inquirium.
You gotta see this place.
Jellyfish
Look at this big guy!
He's an Alligator Turtle.
JiJi and Nana trying to convince me to put my head in this gator's mouth.
Are they crazy?
Don't they know how many teeth there are?
Mama kept saying:
"Choot 'em Liz!"
I have no idea what she was talking about.
Then we took a little trip over to the RiverWalk in Jenks.
We found a cave, a waterfall,
and some fountains.
The next morning, we woke up to 50 degree weather.
What happened to the record-breaking 100s?
Brrrrrr.
Mama, you should have packed me some pants!
JiJi, Mama & Nana had coffee outside that morning.
It was great.
Later, I snuggled up with Nana for some reading time
and a nap...
'cause Oka-homa makes me TIRED.
What a fun trip!! We went there a few weeks ago with our Tulsa family - that is a wonderful acquarium!
