For those of you who have been under a rock, North-ish Texas has had quite the weather the past 2 weeks.
We had 70 degrees 2 weekends ago.
Last week, we had what my Mama kept calling "ThunderSleet".
I'm not sure why she kept giggling when she said it.
Sleet.
Rain.
Freezing Rain.
Hours of it.
Trapped in the house for days on end.
Watched every Disney/Pixar movie ever made.
Snacked.
A LOT.
Then when we thought it was getting managable, we had SNOW!
Glorious SNOW.
Mom & Dad bought me a pool floatie at Target Friday night.
(Don't they know it's starting to snow? It's a little cold for swimming, don't ya think?)
Well, Saturday morning, we loaded up in Dad's Jeep 4WD and headed off to our local lake to go sledding. I'm not real sure what this sledding business is, but whatever. I'm out of the house.
Wow!
Dad plopped me in the middle of that floatie & sent me down a small hill.
WEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
I was all smiles.
The hills got bigger and so did the fun.
(Mom & Dad didn't take any pictures....Slackers! Pictures would have been appropriate here, huh?)
The fun continued for about 2 1/2 hours. I went home, stripped off all my wet clothes
& took a 3 hour nap.
I can't wait to do it again
