Held Hostage...

Sorry this took so long, but these pictures were being 'held hostage' in my Mama's camera. You see she lost the cable that hooks it up to the 'Puter and well, you know...
On Christmas Day, we visited my NiNi & PaPaw's house.
This is me & Aunt BB dancing around in the game room.

NiNi bought Dad & I matching West Virgina University hoodies. You rock, NiNi.

Here I am helping Daddy put together my Hot Wheels tricycle. Daddy LOVES to put together toys. It's one of his favorite things to do in the whole wide world.

I got Madagascar from Mama. "I like to MOVE IT!"
(And Mama doesn't have to watch CARS every single day now.)

Here we are opening some more presents at home after our nap. I'm really good at doing this now since Christmas & my birthday are so close together.

Thanks to everyone for my cool Christmas gifts. I loved spending time with all of you.
Maybe I will post Christmas pictures sooner next year...and maybe Mama won't hold them hostage.
Peace out, until next time...

I should have known... (A Mommy Blog)

I should have known:
when we were deciding & 'trying' to get pregnant with you, when I could feel you, a little madman, growing inside my belly, when it took 17 hours of labor for you to come out, when we spent 4 days in the hospital for jaundice...
I also should have know when:
you spent the next 6 weeks screaming your head off,
breastfeeding constantly, surprising us with how quickly you developed...

I should have guessed when:
your first word was DaDa, you began walking, right on target, on your 1st birthday, when I had to leave you with a sitter for the first time, when I cried the whole night before, when we had to find another sitter, and I cried the entire way to work,
Well, you see, I should have known.
I should have guessed how much you would effect our life, but I didn't.
It has been the best 2 years I could imagine and I wouldn't have wanted to spend it any other way. You are a blessing to us and we cannot imagine our lives without you. I love you, Grayson and thank you for all the joy you bring to us EVERY day.

I like CARS.....a little bit.

I don't know if you could tell by my Birthday pics, but I have this thing for CARS.

When I wake up in the morning, I ask for CARS. When I go to bed at night, I tuck them in with a blanket. Mama thinks it's getting out of control.

Here I am at Nana & PaPa's house playing with my CARS.

This is 'Tash Truck'.

'Shool Bus'

'Eyoooooeyooooo car'

'8TV'

This is 'Tow truck' pulling 'Mailmo Truck'

'Tab'

Mama: This is getting out of hand. We have no where to store all these cars.

Happy 2nd Birthday to ME!

My Mama took cake decorating classes many years ago in anticipation of having a baby one day to make Birthday cakes for. Here she is hard at work after she put me down to sleep Friday night.

"Thank GOD for that 'grass' tip from Wilton" is all she kept saying.

I'm 2, so she put a 2 on my cake. Keep up, people.

Daddy took apart a bunch of Oreo cookies & pulvarized them in the food processor to make the race track.

Here's the finished product. Mama does pretty good work, huh?

My Great Aunt JiJi came down from Sapulpa to be here for my birthday. She bought me this cool rally car. His little headlamp lights up when you pump the back up & down.

"You do it, JiJi"

This is my Nana. She is trying to fill out this silly game Mama came up with about 'Cars & Driving' songs.

Here's my Papa. He's working hard on the music trivia too.

Here's my Aunt BB. She's helping me open my presents.

I got a lot of movies. Mama was so thankful for 3 days, she & Daddy didn't have to watch Cars. Thank you NeNe.

I'm sitting in Mama's lap opening some more gifts.

I think I picked a good one!

What the heck? You know that's a lit candle, right, Dad?

Here's my NeNe helping me eat some cake. It sure was yummy. The vanilla with the 'asphalt' was especially tasty.

Here's Mama & Dada at the end of the party.
I had a great time despite the thrilled look on my face. Thank you to all who made my Birthday so special. We'll see you next year.

Lost in Translation (Volume 2)

Since G-Man's vocabulary has exploded & he is putting 2&3 words together I thought I'd share some of the newest words & phrases.

Dost-shite: Ghost Light (as in Mater & the Ghost Light)

Iten Keen: Lightning McQueen

Shiver: This is Sherrif

ChickFix: Chick Hicks

Mone: Ramone (by the way, did you notice that Ramone has a new paint job in every scene of the movie? that could be kinda cool, depending on what mood you're in yellow metallic or purple with flames or....I could go on & on.)

Saayee: Sally

Fo: Flo...you know from Flo's V8 drive in.

(Can you tell we've been watching Cars? A LOT?)

Up Taow: Up Tall...I wanna crawl up the bookcase, changing table, dining room table, Daddy, etc
DooDoo Pants: Pretty self-explanatory, don't you think? I don't know where he got this one? Thank you husband.

Merna & Shushi: Merlin & Lucy, our Dobermans

Fspray: Spray

Hooook It: Hook It

Pidow: Pillow

He is starting to string those words together like a madman too. I can't believe he is going to be 2 next week. It seems like yesterday Hubby & I were taking turns walking that screaming baby up and down the halls, that I was nursing him....constantly, going for car rides, waiting for him to roll over, first words, first steps, I could keep going. You all with kids, you get it. Where does the time go?

Not Me Monday! (Mommy Blog)

Just jumping back on the MckMama bandwagon for today's edition of Not Me Monday. Feel free to jump on over to her website to see how this all got started.
I'm NOT glad that the holidays are OVER! I hate to sound like a Grinch, who's heart is 2 sizes too small, but Holy Moly, I have had enough. I did NOT work Chistmas Eve. Nope, I was home with Hubby, preparing for Santa's arrival, stuffing stockings, etc. I then did NOT proceed to spend that Sunday taking care of a sick baby during the big hospital move when I should've been moving boxes. Why am I one of the only nurses who bothered to show up in scrubs? Then i proceeded to NOT work New Year's Eve. Even though Nana & Papa were keeping G-Man all night & I could have been out with Hubby sipping a Cosmo or something, nope I was at work. (Thanks to Lori for coming in early)
I did NOT buy this for G-Man for Christmas:

Nope, sure didn't. I did NOT let him open it on Christmas EVE either.

I have NOT let him watch it EVERY day since then. That's 11 days if anyone is counting, which by the way, I'm NOT. That means, Hubby &/or I have listened to it 11 times.

I also do NOT turn that bad boy on, sit him in front of it in his bean bag chair with a fuzzy blanket & a sippy cup, then proceed to go on with my chores. Who knew you could do 2 loads of laundry, cook lunch, balance the checkbook & drink a cup of coffee during a whole movie. Why didn't I think of this sooner?

Today, while waiting in line at the Auto Registration Office (I did NOT forget to renew this before December 31st) G-Man layed down on the floor by my feet (to play with what else but Lightening McQueen?) I did NOT let him play there until it was time to leave....on the floor.....only God knows what is down there. I'm a germ-a-phobe. I'd NEVER let him do that.

When I was finished with my business, I scooped him up off the floor, flopped him over my shoulder & walked out....I could just feel the stares of the people behind me & the looks of horror.

Until next Monday.....
